We had our first appointment with the OBGYN this week and we got great news! We are five weeks and six days pregnant with a singleton measuring CRL 2.6mm. The due date is April 21, 2011.
While we were a bit early to see a heartbeat, the doctor said all looked as it should. We will be repeating the ultrasound this week to confirm heartbeat! SO exciting (and so anxious about next u/s)!!!!!!
Well, we are 16 days after our LH surge and we found out today that our betas are indeed rising. In fact, it was 830 this morning. Check out what the chart for day 16 says above! Yikes! Doctor says he has seen high numbers result in singletons and vice versa, so not to jump to conclusions. But- that directionally it does suggest potential multiples. We scheduled our first ultrasound a week from Wednesday (the 25th). We should know more then!!
We go on Monday for tests to make sure that our hCG levels are rising appropriately. In the meantime, we have been doing an HPT each day to watch the lines darken! 🙂
On Sunday, our surrogate called us to tell us she had started her period. We were, of course, quite disappointed but did handle it better this go around, as we had determined to keep our hopes in check.
The next day, however, I got a call from our surrogate asking me to meet her. It turns out that the blood was implantation bleeding and she was testing positive with HPTs. The following day, our fertility specialist confirmed the positive result and today confirmed the appropriate increase in HCG. We’re early in our process, but we are officially pregnant! I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!
Thanks to all of you for all of your well-wishes!
Well we got the call this morning that it was time to try again. After two days of morning and evening inseminations, we are now in our second two week waiting period. I feel like I may be able to keep a cooler head this time – or, at least, that’s what I keep telling myself. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
Well, on the 9th dpo, July 4th, we got news that the surrogate we are working with started her period. So… the waiting game is back on. We hope to try again in about 10 days Will keep you posted!
No… it’s not THAT smiley face. It is, however, a positive OPK test!
After four months of waiting for her cycle to get back on track naturally, our surrogate recently opted for and completed a round of Provera and Clomid. We got our first positive OPK on Thursday morning and confirmed mature follicles with an ultrasound that afternoon!
We conducted three insems – Thursday, yesterday and this morning. Now we start the real waiting game – the ominous (and already excruciating) “Two Week Wait”!!!!!!!!!
